We are looking for individuals with:

• A demonstrated excellence in teaching skills, a demonstrated history of mentoring and coaching young people, and demonstrated integrity in personal character.
• A willingness to grow with a new organization and work together with others as a team.
• A desire to develop a personal training business and all that goes with it, including sales skills, telephone etiquette, basic bookkeeping, and scheduling.

The five steps to getting involved:

1. Attend Wisdom Trek. Wisdom Trek is our advanced training event for equipping the next generation of leaders. It introduces you to the Passing the Baton strategy for raising a generation of leaders, and in the process it rejuvenates your vision, refreshes your calling, and equips you for more fruitful impact. At least one Wisdom Trek conference is scheduled each year, and you will need to attend the event either before becoming a Passing the Baton speaker or within the first year of your being a speaker. Coming to Wisdom Trek does not guarantee that you will be selected as a speaker, but it is a necessary first step: No one will be allowed to purchase licenses to present the Passing the Baton seminar who has not participated in Wisdom Trek.
2. Complete an application and covenants.
3. Send an audition videotape along with your speaker application. This should be a videotape or DVD of your speaking, preaching or teaching. This will be used to assess your suitability in delivering a six-hour seminar.
4. Complete an interview. If your application is reviewed and approved, we will schedule a time for an interview with a member of our staff or board.
5. Speaker training. If your application and interview qualify you, you will be invited to a speaker training weekend. You'll be given an advance script, PowerPoint slides and other materials for practicing delivery of the seminar. At speaker training weekend you'll gain greater insight into the Passing the Baton vision, hone your presentation skills, experience camaraderie with other speakers, and discover how to establish a profitable speaking business. The cost of speaker training is approximately $250. This includes lunches and dinners, all materials and training. It does not include transportation, room, or breakfasts.
